Rhiannon Lewis is the director of

She is an experienced aromatherapist, author, editor
and gifted educator.
Her extensive experience in the clinical uses of essential oils stems from undertaking training in the UK, France and the USA.

Driven by the desire to make evidence-based information available to therapists wishing to effectively integrate essential oil use alongside regular medical care.
Passionate about promoting the field of clinical aromatherapy.
From 2004 to 2020 Rhiannon was editor of the International Journal of Clinical Aromatherapy (IJCA). Through publication of evidence-based articles and research studies, she inspires practitioners to use essential oils and related products across a range of healthcare settings. The IJCA has now become integrated within the International Clinical Aromatherapy Network (ICAN).
She is also the brains and driving force behind the recently launched International Clinical Aromatherapy Network (ICAN). This safe professional platform supports all users of essential oils.
Rhiannon has been living in the mountains of Provence (France) since 1999. She is actively involved in nature-based initiatives in her local community.
Rhiannon is also the host and organiser of the botanica and the Essence of Clinical Aromatherapy (ECA) conference series that run biennially in alternance with one another.
ECA specialises in providing excellence in education for the clinical aromatherapy field and has been running since 2017.
Botanica specialises in connecting the phytotherapy and aromatherapy worlds in a large international event that celebrates aromatic plant medicine and has been running since 2012.
Botanica2024 is her seventh event, set for 17-19th May 2024; bringing together herbalists, clinical aromatherapists, researchers, growers and distillers from around the world for 3 days of international conference and trade show hosted on a virtual conference platform.
Rhiannon is a Fellow of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (GB). In 2009 she was honoured to receive an achievement award by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (USA). In 2019, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the same organisation.
She is fluent in both English and French.
